Acceptance
By using Folium you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the launcher.
License
Folium is free for personal use. You may install and run it on computers you own. Redistribution is not allowed.
Minecraft and accounts
Folium uses official Microsoft authentication and never sees your password. Minecraft is governed by Mojang's and Microsoft's own agreements. Folium is not affiliated with Mojang or Microsoft.
Third-party content
Folium can install mods and packs from sources like Modrinth and CurseForge. That content belongs to its authors and is subject to their licenses. We do not create or vet it.
Acceptable use
Do not use Folium to break the law, access accounts you do not own, distribute malware, or bypass Minecraft's protections.
No warranty
Folium is provided as is. We do not guarantee it will always work, be error-free, or be compatible with every mod or setup. You use it at your own risk.
Changes
We may update these terms. Continuing to use Folium after a change means you accept the new terms.

Privacy Policy
The short version
Folium runs on your computer. We do not store your data on a server, and we do not sell anything about you. Almost everything Folium needs lives in files on your own machine.
Your Minecraft account
You sign in through Microsoft's official login. Folium never sees or stores your password. The login gives the launcher a token so it can start the game as you. That token and your profile are stored locally so you do not have to sign in every time, and signing out removes them.
What is stored on your computer
Your instances, settings, installed mods and login session live in Folium's data folder on your machine. Folium does not upload these anywhere.
Third-party services
Folium contacts these services only for the feature you are using. Each has its own privacy policy.
- Microsoft and Xbox Live: sign-in and the token that launches Minecraft as you.
- Mojang and Minecraft: account checks, game downloads and version files.
- Modrinth: searched when you browse or install content.
- CurseForge: also available for content, through a proxy that only forwards your query.
- Cloudflare: delivers launcher assets and updates, with standard request logs.
- Discord: receives rich presence updates locally if Discord is running.
No ads or tracking
Folium shows no ads and includes no third-party tracking or analytics. We do not build a profile of you.
